I'm starting to close in on the end of my semester!

I know I haven't really put out any of the artwork I said I would after being so "inspired." I've been in a slump since early summer and I can't figure out why. No, it's not because ~SydneyPrimal moved in because there's been plenty of time where we're bored and I'm still not drawing. It might be the lack of music floating around recently, or it might be because work is draining. Or it could be some psychological displeasure I have toward the finished products because I don't like how I shade. Anyway, I'm moving slowly.

On the off chance that I do get around to finishing arts, expect one of the following:

Okay, so I'm a couple weeks into college and I think I've found some sort of balance. I'm drawing again and I hope to have a fully-shaded picture up by the end of the night (but that depends on if I can get the shading right for once).

Aion's going to launch on the 22nd, but I get my character pre-select on the 18th and then a headstart launch on the 20th. It'll be pretty awesome, I think.

Went to the Renaissance Festival yesterday with ~SydneyPrimal and we had a lot of fun. We saw a band called Albannach there that did traditional Scottish war music and it was insanely good (if you like that sort of thing). There was a huge line of girls dancing on the other side of the stage being lead by one of the belly dancers at the festival. We went to the Pub Sing at the end of the day too, and it was hilarious (many filthy and filthier jokes to be had there).

As for my art, I'm into doing Watchmen art - though most of that consists of original characters. I'd like to do some art of the actual characters. I'm also thinking of doing some Aion artwork for my characters, but I don't know how that'd go over. I guess as long as I'm happy doing it, I should go for it.

End of the first week of college. I'm getting a slow start since I've been going to work after classes every day this week. I smartly cut down to three days a week from now on and =SydneyPrimal's working at the same place to cover my lost hours.

Anyway, I need to catch up in American Politics assignments and then I'll probably be heading to work again for the day.

To be honest, I don't know exactly when I'll get to draw again and I've been all over the place as to what I like. I'm reading a Star Wars book, but watching =SydneyPrimal play Assassin's Creed with a desire to play Batman Arkham Asylum and the knowledge that I still haven't beaten Twilight Princess floating around.

...And my room is a gigantic mess. And I need a new printer for college.

Okay, so even after thinking my hiatus was over, it turned out not to be.

I went to the local bar last night with my two sisters (one being *Driven-Crazy) and =SydneyPrimal. We listened to some bad karaoke, some good karaoke (*Driven-Crazy), and Syd and I thought about getting up to sing. Didn't happen though. I might've been balance-impaired but I was only drunk enough to know I didn't want to be drunk. Euch.

Some guy got a picture of my boobs with the excuse that The Flash is his favorite superhero ever (I was wearing my red Flash t-shirt). I hope he wonders what happened last night that he's got a picture of unknown The Flash boobs on his phone.

Oh. I had a Captain and Coke, an improvised Mudslide, a Coke (to slow me down), and a really strong Strawberry Daiquiri.

All in all a good time.

Watchmen's coming in the mail in a few days. Probably Monday or Tuesday if it gets here quickly. I'm excited because it means I might be able to finish the Watchmen picture.

College starts again on August 24th. I'm enrolled in Intermediate Graphic Design, Sculpture 1, American Politics, and Psychology for Human Sexuality.

Okay, so for the one or two people that read this, sorry for being gone all summer. First off, I just crapped out on drawing. I'd been drawing so much in the spring that all my desire to draw more just died.

After that, I got a job...so now it's hard for me to be motivated in the time that I'm home to actually use it for drawing. I might soon though...but it won't be anything anyone's expecting.

Final Fantasy XI - I'm not playing the game(1). But I did a decent job remaking them on Aion(2) and I broke out all my soundtracks from when I did still play the game. So I'm kind of in the mood.

Matrix - MxO is about to close down on the 31st for good. And while I bitched and moaned about how much I hated the game's community by the end, I still love some things about it. Guildinstern and Rosincrantz were two of mine and Syd's best characters.

Star Trek - I wanna draw something for it??? I saw the new movie and loved it so Syd and I went back, bought and watched the original series with Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelley. Not sure if anything from this will happen or not.

(1) You'd think I would just remember how hard of a time I have in that game and just stop wanting to play it again. But I caaaaaan't. I miss Bastok, I miss the thrill I had sneaking Syd's characters through Rolanberry Fields, I miss Raph and Mikan, and I most of all miss my wittle Tarutaru, Raetaru. :<

(2) Aion: The Tower of Eternity. I've been trying to find a fantasy MMO to really take FFXI's place...essentially I'm hoping for a mix between FFXI's world and CoH's community. Oh, and I want the ability to solo at least kind of efficiently all the way to 50. Will Aion be the answer? Possibly. I preordered the game so I could get into the beta events and I've been in three so far. It's pretty nice. I can't wait for the next one so I can play it on my better computer.
